Victim Suffers Moderate to Major Injuries
BAKERSFIELD, California (May 3, 2016) – A pedestrian was hospitalized after a collision in the area of Union Avenue and 18th Street on Monday, according to 23 ABC News.
As per the article, a man was hit by a small truck which was traveling in the No. 1 lane on Union Avenue before 2:30 p.m.
A witness said the man was then thrown mid-air.
The victim was taken to a local area hospital where he was treated for what authorities described as moderate to major injuries. His name and condition at this time remained unknown.
Meanwhile, the truck was reportedly towing what appeared to be a gardening trailer when the accident took place.
Authorities will continue to investigate the cause of the incident.
