Man Walking Dog Suffers Major Injuries to Legs After Being Hit by Unhitched Trailer

November 5, 2018- According to KION News, a pedestrian man suffered major injuries after being struck by an unhitched trailer Friday afternoon while walking his dog.
The incident occurred at precisely 2:23 p.m. near the cross streets of Harkin Slough Road and Ohlone Parkway.
According to Watsonville police officials, the driver of an SUV experienced mechanical issues causing the trailer to unhitch. The trailer crossed several traffic lanes before entering the sidewalk and hitting the unidentified man.
The victim suffered major injuries to both of his legs leaving in hospitalized at a local trauma center.
According to KION News, the driver responsible remained at the scene and was open to questioning with police officials following the incident.
