NAPA, California (April 14, 2016) – One person was hospitalized following a traffic collision at Las Amigas Road and Cuttings Wharf Road Wednesday afternoon, according to the Napa Valley Register. (map)
The accident happened at around 12:50 p.m.
Preliminary report stated that a big rig tuck and trailer, and a Jeep were traveling on their respective lane ways when they suddenly collided with each other.
The force from the impact was significant, resulting in the Jeep driver suffering in injuries.
The hurt party was immediately transported by a responding paramedic team to Queen of the Valley Medical Center.
No immediate information was provided on the condition of the rig driver.
The cause on why the Jeep suddenly rear-ended the rig remained under investigation. Authorities continue to gather more evidences and witness statements before pronouncing closure and citations on the case.
