Man, 58, Critically Injured in El Cajon Hit-and-Run on East Main Street
EL CAJON (September 20, 2018) – A man in a wheelchair was critically injured after an alleged hit-and-run accident on East Main Street Thursday night, according to San Diego Union-Tribune.
The collision occurred at around 9:25 p.m. near North First Street.
As per the article, police said a 58-year-old man in a wheelchair was crossing Main Street when he was struck by a vehicle that was traveling west at the time.
Paramedics responded to the scene and found the man lying unconscious in the middle of the roadway near his wheelchair as a result of the crash.

Police affirmed that the victim was immediately taken to a local hospital with life-threatening head injuries. His name and condition at the moment remained unknown.
Meanwhile, the driver involved did not stop to render aid and fled the area. The suspect car was described as a silver Nissan Altima.
