Fatal Pedestrian Accident in Kearny Mesa, San Diego
SAN DIEGO, Calif. (Nov. 11, 2024) — A man in a wheelchair died in a pedestrian accident Sunday on Ronson Road in the Kearny Mesa area of San Diego.
A driver in a Toyota Camry struck the man crossing from south to north in the 7600 block of Ronson Road, according to the San Diego Police Department.
The crash happened around 5:35 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 10th, the San Diego Police Department said.
The 58-year-old man driving the Toyota stopped and cooperated with investigators, but alcohol is not believed to be a factor in the crash, police said.
Meanwhile, paramedics transported the injured man to Sharp Memorial Hospital, but he later died from his injuries.
The San Diego Medical Examiner has not released the victim’s name at this time.
The case remains under investigation.
