ACAMPO, California — At least one person was injured as a result of a hit-and-run collision on North Highway 99 at Acampo Road offramp.
The accident was logged by the California Highway Patrol group on February 12.
As per the report, the suspect’s vehicle was a blue van. The van got involved in a mishap with a red sedan, and a big rig around 1:34 p.m.
At 1:41 p.m., a witness claimed the suspect attempted and successfully left the crash site resulting in more damages as it struck a road sign, and a tree while driving away.
A bicyclist was also mentioned to have been hit by the suspect while evading but the information still need to be confirmed.
The hit-and-run driver left a trail of collisions, and at least one person suffered injuries from the incident.
Coroners continue to work on notifying their next of kin, before releasing the identities of the injured, and involved parties.
As per CHP dispatch, the witness occupied a gray cattle semi-truck and has a video of the accident. The witness reportedly followed the suspect but at some point, lost visibility.
