CORONA, California (April 27, 2016) – A man ID’d as Joseph Lentini, 61, of Wildomar, was killed after being hit by a big rig at 15 Freeway and Weirick Road Wednesday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol dispatch.
The accident happened at around 10:23 a.m.
Preliminary reports disclose that a rig driver was not able to stop its vehicle in time to avoid collision with Lentini who was in the roadway, leading to his death.
The reporting party, which was the involved big rig driver, claimed that Joseph Lentini suddenly exited his vehicle and ran in front of the rig’s way, as mentioned in the CHP log..
Per the Press-Enterprise, the big rig driver was identified as Christopher Nordon, 44, of Riverside.
