Man Killed in Crash on 22nd Avenue Involving a UTV in Sky Valley

Israel Hernandez Killed in Collision Involving John Deere Gator UTV

RIVERSIDE COUNTY, Calif., (April 15, 2026) — Israel Hernandez, 45, of Sky Valley, died in a crash involving a car and a John Deere Gator UTV on Wednesday afternoon at 22nd Avenue and Marshall Road in the Sky Valley area of Riverside County.

The two-vehicle collision occurred at approximately 4:38 p.m. on April 15th when the blue Toyota vehicle collided with the westbound John Deere Gator UTV on the right shoulder. According to the California Highway Patrol, the Toyota reportedly collided with the UTV, resulting in at least one vehicle catching fire.

Emergency responders, including the Riverside County Fire Department, were dispatched to the scene. Despite their swift response, the person from the UTV was pronounced dead at the scene at 4:53 p.m. by fire personnel. The identity was released as Israel Hernandez of Sky Valley, according to the RCSD,

The Riverside County Sheriff’s Office and the coroner were also notified and are actively involved in the ongoing investigation. Law enforcement authorities are seeking any witnesses who may have observed the collision to aid in their inquiries.
