Man, 77, Killed in Hit-and-Run Crash in Garden Grove
GARDEN GROVE, Calif. (August 12, 2022) – A fatal hit-and-run pedestrian accident on Lampson Avenue happened Thursday afternoon in Garden Grove.
Also, George Wahb, 26, of Stanton, was arrested on hit-and-run charges.
The deadly crash occurred about 12:06 p.m. on August 11th in the 9500 block of Lampson Avenue, according to MyNewsLA and the Garden Grove Police Department.
A driver in a black Subaru Impreza reportedly struck the unidentified 77-year-old man and fled the scene. Paramedics responded and rushed the injured man to a hospital where he later died.
Later, deputies with the Garden Grove Police Department located the suspect and arrested the Stanton man.
George Wahb was arrested on felony hit-and-run charges and booked into Orange County Jail.
