Pedestrian Man Victim in Fatal Hit-and-Run
DATE OF INCIDENT: Tuesday, September 11th
September 12, 2018- According to the Modesto Bee, a deadly pedestrian hit-and-run collision was reported last night on Spencer Avenue near Maze Boulevard.
According to California Highway officials, the incident occurred around 8:45 p.m. after a witness observed a newer model Dodge pickup truck hit the unidentified man from behind before failing to stop and render aid.
The victim sadly did not survive the impact of the collision and was pronounced at the scene, per the Bee.
The witness stated that they last saw the vehicle’s driver speeding away southbound along Spencer Avenue.
As of Wednesday morning, the suspect remains at-large. Anyone with information is urged to phone the “Modesto-area CHP office at 209-545-7440 or Stanislaus Area Crime Stoppers at 209-521-4636.”
