The accident involving three vehicles was reported at 5:35 a.m., just south of Arbor Vitae Street.
As per the article, California Highway Patrol said a 1986 Honda Prelude, a 1996 Infiniti 130 and a 2015 Saturn Vue were all traveling north when the collision occurred.
The man driving the Honda died at the scene. His name has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin.
The driver of the Saturn, 59-year-old Van Nuys resident Miguel A. Bonilla, and his passenger, 57-year-old Genoveva Bonilla, were unharmed. Another occupant in the Saturn, 23-year-old Michelle Bonilla, complained of pain to her right leg following the wreck.
Meanwhile CHP affirmed that 29-year-old Ameerah Bradley was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs. Bradley, of Compton, was operating the Infiniti at the time and was taken to Centinela Hospital with minor injuries.
