Man Riding a Bicycle Killed in Crash on Stockdale Highway in Bakersfield

Man Struck, Killed at Stockdale Hwy and Allen Road

BAKERSFIELD, CALIF. (June 26, 2024) — A man riding a bicycle died Tuesday night when he was hit by a car while riding along Stockdale Highway at Allen Road in Bakersfield.

The traffic accident occurred at around 6:30 p.m. on June 25th, according to the Bakersfield Police Department and Bakersfield Now.

The motorist was heading eastbound on Stockdale Highway and hit the bicyclist who was traveling southbound in a crosswalk on the west side of the intersection.

The driver involved stopped and is cooperating with the investigation.

The Kern County Coroner’s Office has not released the victim’s name.
