Man Riding E-Bike Struck, Killed on Figueroa Street in Highland Park

LOS ANGELES, Calif. (Oct. 1, 2026) — A driver struck and killed a man riding an e-bike Wednesday night on North Figueroa Street in the Highland Park area of Los Angeles.

The deadly collision occurred in the 4500 block of Figueroa Street around 11 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 30th, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

The driver of a grey sedan was northbound on Figueroa Street when the vehicle hit the bicyclist traveling in the same direction, police said. The rider was thrown off the bike into the roadway and suffered severe injuries.

The motorist stopped, and 911 was called for the injured cyclist. Paramedics from the Los Angeles Fire Department transported the injured man to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead upon arrival or shortly after arrival.

The LAPD is handling the investigation.
