Serious Injury Scooter Accident in Grantville Area
SAN DIEGO, Calif. (Sept. 4, 2024) — A man riding an electric scooter suffered a serious injury Tuesday while riding on a sidewalk along Mission Gorge Road in Grantville.
The 39-year-old man and a woman driving an Acura MDX collided at 3:40 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 3rd, 2024, according to the San Diego Police Department.
The man was riding in a southbound direction on the sidewalk and at the same time the woman was westbound coming from the parking lot at 6041 Mission Gorge Road.
The two collided due to unknown circumstances and the man was hospitalized.
The rider was treated for an open fracture to his left tibia/fibula at the hospital.
The 65-year-old woman in the car was not hurt.
