2 Killed in Wrong-Way Car Crash on 405 Freeway Saturday
Long Beach, CA (October 31, 2020) – Two people died, and several others suffered injuries following a traffic collision on Interstate 405, also known as San Diego Freeway, Saturday morning.
According to an article published by NBC4, 23-year-old Kaylee Perez was driving with 32-year-old Manasseh Marion heading north on 405 Freeway around 3:50 a.m. For reasons still unclear, Perez reportedly veered into the opposite lanes and continued driving in the wrong direction.
The wrong-way vehicle eventually crashed head-on into a southbound vehicle. Our sources indicated eight more cars got involved in the accident due to poor visibility.

Authorities confirmed both Perez, of Los Angeles; and Marion, of Long Beach, sadly died as a result of the collision.

Furthermore, seven other people reportedly sustained injuries in the crash. Paramedics rushed all seven patients to area hospitals for treatment of different extent of injuries.
First responders temporarily blocked the northbound lanes of the freeway at Palo Verde Avenue. Investigators stayed in the area the whole morning to determine several factors surrounding the catastrophic car accident in Long Beach.
