MANHATTAN BEACH, California (July 12, 2016) –A pedestrian suffered serious injuries Monday night when a car struck the person in the 2300 block of Aviation Boulevard, according to the Manhattan Beach Police Department.
The crash was reported about 11 p.m. last night. Driver Samuel Martell, 26, of Manhattan Beach was heading southbound on Aviation Boulevard in a 2014 Fiat 500 sedan when he struck the womann who was walking across the street allegedly against the red traffic light outside of a marked crosswalk.
Paramedics responded and transported the injured woman to a local hospital for treatment of serious injuries.
The crash is under investigation by the Manhattan Beach Police Department.
