Clovis Woman, 57, Killed in 2-Vehicle Crash in Fresno
FRESNO, Calif. (Nov. 23, 2022) — Manjit Kaur Grewal, 57, of Clovis, died in a two-vehicle crash between a car and a pickup in southeast of Fresno.
The collision occurred about 5 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 21st, according to the Fresno County Corner’s Office.
The Clovis woman was riding as a passenger in a Toyota Corolla. The woman and the 25-year-old driver were traveling southbound on Temperance Avenue approaching the intersection with North Avenue, the California Highway Patrol said.
Authorities believe the Toyota failed to stop at the stop sign and the car was broadsided by an oncoming Ford F-250 pickup truck. The 47-year-old Fresno man was traveling east in the pickup truck and had the right-of-way, police said.
Paramedics responded and rushed two people to Community Regional Medical Center. Sadly, Manjit Kaur Grewal died at the hospital the next day. The woman driving the Toyota did not report any injuries.
Meanwhile, the driver from the Ford is being treated for major injuries, the CHP said.
Investigators do not suspect drugs or alcohol are factors in the crash.
