CHINO HILLS, California (September 4, 2014) – Manoj Patel, 47, of Chino Hills was killed Sunday night in a pedestrian accident at the intersection of Soquel Canyon and Butterfield Rancho roads, according to a press release by the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department.
About 8:12 p.m., Patel was walking at the intersection when a driver hit him, but no further details were provided. Paramedics responded to the scene of the crash and transported the injured man to a local hospital, but he died the following day.
The investigation into the fatal crash is being conducted by the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department’s Major Accident Investigation Team (M.A.I.T.).
