Manoj Patel, 47, of Chino Hills Killed in Pedestrian Accident

CHINO HILLS, California (September 4, 2014) –    Manoj Patel, 47, of Chino Hills was killed Sunday night in a pedestrian accident at the intersection of Soquel Canyon and Butterfield Rancho roads, according to a press release by the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department.

About 8:12 p.m., Patel was walking at the intersection when a driver hit him, but no further details were provided. Paramedics responded to the scene of the crash and transported the injured man to a local hospital, but he died the following day.

The investigation into the fatal crash is being conducted by the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department’s Major Accident Investigation Team (M.A.I.T.).

“My condolences go out to the victim’s family as they cope with his unexpected loss,” said Attorney James Johnson.
