1 Seriously Injured in Manteca Crash Near French Camp Road and Union Road
MANTECA, CA (May 22, 2021) – At least one was seriously injured after a car crash near French Camp Road and Union Road in Manteca.
The California Highway Patrol dispatch team received a call about the accident on Saturday afternoon. Officers reported the wreck at about 3:54 p.m.
Two pickup trucks collided head-on for an unknown reason in Manteca. They crashed near the intersection of French Camp and Union roads.
Head-On Collision Near Highway 99
According to CHP, one of the cars involved rolled onto its side due to the impact of the collision. An occupant possibly ended up trapped inside a vehicle.
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon responded to the scene near Highway 99. They found one person who sustained major injuries as a result of the wreck.
Medical personnel then took the wounded party to a hospital for treatment. Officials did not disclose the name of the patient and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP forced the intersection of French Camp and Union to close following the accident. Authorities are still investigating the cause of the Manteca crash.
