Man Hit and Killed by Vehicle Near Austin Road Offramp Sunday
Manteca, CA (March 27, 2022) – A pedestrian died following a traffic accident that occurred on State Route 99, also known as Golden State Highway.
According to the California Highway Patrol group, a fatal collision took place in the southbound side of the highway. The catastrophic incident took place in the area near Austin Road offramp.
Deadly Pedestrian Accident on State Route 99 in Manteca, March 27
First responders found at the scene a body down in the roadway. Officials said the victim suffered injuries consistent to being hit by a vehicle. Paramedics performed life-saving measures to the pedestrian but they sadly succumbed to their injuries and died. Pending confirmation and notification of next of kin, the identity of the deceased remained undisclosed.
At this time, detectives continue to investigate liability in the deadly pedestrian accident on State Route 99 in Manteca.
