At Least 1 Hurt in Traffic Collision on Highway 120 Tuesday
Manteca, CA (July 28, 2021) – The California Highway Patrol group reported a suspected hit-and-run crash that occurred on State Route Highway 120 Tuesday afternoon.
Initial records indicated a black Mazda veered off the traffic lanes for an unknown reason. Subsequently, the driver allowed the car to slam into the center divider of the highway. The collision took place near Union Road offramp.
Shortly after 5:45 p.m., medical personnel arrived at the site. Responding paramedics rendered aid to all possible victims in the accident. After the evaluation, authorities confirmed at least one person sustained injuries as a result of the wreck.
The CHP log mentioned the incident left four posts and 25 feet of guard rail broken.
Hit-and-Run Car Crash in Manteca, July 27
Officials later confirmed a second vehicle fled the scene before police arrived. No immediate information was available on the hit-and-run suspect.
At this time, detectives continue to investigate several factors surrounding the car crash in Manteca.
