Manuel Jesus Galindo, 22, Arrested in Santa Ana Fatal Car Accident at Newhope Street and Westminster Boulevard
Santa Ana, CA (April 28, 2021) – Authorities charged 22-year-old Manuel Jesus Galindo in relation with a deadly traffic collision in the area of Newhope Street and Westminster Boulevard.
On October 12, 2019, Manuel Galindo was behind the wheel of a 2013 Hyundai Sonata heading south on Newhope Street. For reasons still unclear, the Hyundai collided with another vehicle at the intersection of Newhope and Westminster. The car continued moving until it struck a street pole.

According to the Orange County Register, the crash took place at about 10:50 a.m. Responding medical personnel found a passenger unconscious. Authorities later confirmed the passenger, 20-year-old Kobe Kidwell, sadly died as a result of the collision.
Meanwhile, officials mentioned Manuel Galindo suffered serious injuries in the crash. Responding paramedics attended to the victim, then transported him to an area hospital.
Authorities added two other passenger suffered injuries as a result of the collision.
On April 28, Wednesday, authorities charged Manuel Galindo with gross vehicular manslaughter for the unfortunate event in Santa Ana.
