3 Dead in Traffic Accident on Imperial Highway in Watts
LOS ANGELES, Calif. (May 4, 2020) – Manuel Alexander Quinones, 25, of Los Angeles, was among three people killed Friday morning in a collision on Imperial Highway in the Watts area of Los Angeles County.
The chain-reaction crash took place about 7:15 p.m. on May 1st on the westbound side of Imperial Highway near Compton Boulevard, according to the Los Angeles Police Department. Quinones was in a vehicle that allegedly rear-ended a car and then veered into eastbound traffic where it was struck by a third vehicle. The 35-year-old man driving the eastbound vehicle also died in the collision as well as a 25-year-old Los Angeles man.
The Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics pronounced all three people dead upon their arrival, police said. The third person who died has not yet been identified pending notification of relatives.
There were no other injuries reported at this time.
