Driver Killed, 2 Passengers Injured in Solo Redlands Crash
SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. (Feb. 20, 2019) — Marcus Cobain, 22, of Fontana, died and two men riding in his car were seriously injured Saturday morning when their vehicle crashed into a guardrail on the westbound Interstate 10 near Orange Street in Redlands, according to the the San Bernardino County coroner.
The collision was reported to the California Highway Patrol about 1:55 a.m. on Feb. 16. Cobain was driving a black Nissan Sentra when for unknown reasons he veered off the freeway and struck a street sign post. The impact caused fatal injuries to Cobain who died at the scene. Meanwhile, his two passengers, were partially ejected in the collision. The two Fontana men, ages 21 and 22 years old, suffered moderate and major injuries. They were both taken to a local hospital for further treatment.
