2 Dead After Car Plows Into Backyard Pool at Schaefer Avenue and East End Avenue Wednesday
Chino, CA (July 7, 2021) – Two people, including Mareane Nunez, suffered fatal injuries following a car crash in the area of Schaefer and East End Avenue early Wednesday.
The KTLA5 News reported a vehicle of unknown make and model struck the center median at the Chino intersection. Per article published online, the force from the impact caused the vehicle to become airborne. The vehicle ended up plowing into the backyard pool of a residential property.
Our sources indicated three people were ejected from the car during the crash.

Shortly after 2:15 a.m., they found one women unconscious and lying on the ground. Paramedics performed life-saving measures to the victim, but she sadly succumbed to her injuries and died at the scene. The Coroner’s officials later identified the deceased as 21-year-old Mareane Nunez, of Norwalk.
Authorities added the other two occupants, a 27-year-old man and a 23-year-old woman, were rushed to a nearby hospital due to their condition. According to the article published online, the 27-year-old man later sadly died. Meanwhile, the 23-year-old woman remained at the hospital in serious condition.
At this time, detectives continue to investigate exactly how and why the car crash in Chino happened.
