Margaret Jackson Killed in Westwood Crash on the 405 Freeway
Woman, 72, Killed in Collision in Westwood is Identified
WESTWOOD, Calif. (Feb. 10, 2025) – Margaret Jackson, 72, a former teacher at Lynwood High School, died in a two-vehicle collision on the northbound San Diego (405) Freeway in Westwood.
The traffic accident, which occurred around 7:15 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 7th, also left three people with injuries, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
Police and paramedics responded to the freeway near the Wilshire Boulevard off-ramp to help those injured and found the woman and a dog deceased. Another dog was missing after the crash.
Meanwhile, the injured included an 80-year-old woman and a 66-year-old man who suffered major injuries.
Also, a 60-year-old woman was hospitalized in fair condition, according to the LAFD.
All three people were taken to hospitals for treatment of their injuries, but there is no further information at this time.
Finally, the cause of the crash is unknown, but the California Highway Patrol are investigating.
