Woman Dies in Collision on Highway 65

Bakersfield, CA (March 10, 2023) – Maria Guadalupe Arce, a 73-year-old woman, suffered fatal injuries following a car accident that occurred on State Route Highway 65.

The KGET News reported Arce was behind he wheel of a vehicle traveling in Kern County on March 1, Wedesday. When the woman approached the area near Merle Haggard Drive, she collided with another car. Officials said the horrible crash took place at about 3:42 p.m.

Fatal Car Accident in Bakersfield

When rescue teams arrived at the scene, they found an elderly woman unconscious. Paramedics rushed the injured party to Kern Medical but she sadly succumbed to her injuries and passed away. The Kern County coroner’s office identified the deceased as Maria Guadalupe Arce, of Bakersfield.

No immediate information was available on the condition of the other driver involved in the unfortunate event.

At this time, detectives continue to investigate the precise circumstances that led up to the deadly accident that happened on Highway 65.
