The collision took place at 7:11 p.m.
As per the article, police said a woman identified as Maria Gutierrez, 70, was hit by a Hyundai Accent after walking onto the street between two parked vehicles.
Gutierrez sadly sustained suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene.
Police affirmed that the Hyundai driven by a Baldwin Park man was going west on Clark Street when he collided with the 70-yaer-old woman. The driver reportedly did not see the woman crossing the street.
Speed and alcohol did not appear to have played a role in the incident as it remains under investigation.
