Maria Oliveros Gonzalez, 68, Killed in Mojave Crash on Tehachapi Willow Springs
MOJAVE, CA (September 13, 2021) – A head-on crash killed Maria Oliveros Gonzalez on Tehachapi Willow Springs Road near Mojave.
The coroner’s office identified the 68-year-old Palmdale woman as one of the victims in the fatal collision which occurred last week.
The incident happened on Friday when Maria De Los Angeles Oliveros Gonzalez was riding as a passenger in a car in Mojave.
The California Highway Patrol said that vehicle then collided head-on with another car on Tehachapi Willow Springs Road. The two crashed for an unknown reason south of Aqueduct Road.

The Kern Golden Empire wrote that the wreck took place on September 10 at about 3:10 p.m. A CHP dispatch described the vehicles as a Honda Odyssey and a Hyundai Sonata.
CHP confirmed that Maria Oliveros Gonzalez died at the scene of the Tehachapi Willow Springs Road crash. Paramedics pronounced another woman dead as a result of the collision.
The incident log added that a total of five people, including the deceased women, were involved in the accident. The other three parties sustained unspecified injuries following the collision.
Air ambulances soon took the patients to the Antelope Valley Hospital for treatment. Meanwhile, CHP shut down a part of Tehachapi Willow Springs Road for several hours after the wreck.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
