Woman, 86, ID’d as Victim of Fontan Car Accident
FONTANA, Calif. (Sept. 19, 2023) — Maria Perez, 86, of Fontana, died in a crash on Sept. 11th at Baseline Avenue and Village Parkway in Fontana.
The multi-vehicle collision occurred around 8:32 p.m. on Sept. 11th in northern Fontana, according to the Fontana Police Department.
Fontana police officers responded to the intersection and located the woman unresponsive inside one of the vehicles involved in the collision, according to Fontana Herald News.
Paramedics transported her by ambulance to a nearby trauma center, but she later died following the traffic accident.
She was identified by the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department.
Investigators with the Fontana Police Department’s Major Traffic Accident Investigation Team (MAIT) are working to determine fault for the Fontana crash on Baseline Avenue.
