Maria Rivera, 46, Killed in Menifee Crash on Highway 74
MENIFEE (December 16, 2018) – A pedestrian was killed after a traffic accident along Highway 74 on Saturday, December 15, according to The Press-Enterprise.
Riverside County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as 46-year-old Maria Rivera, of Menifee.
As per the reports, officials said Rivera was struck by a vehicle for an unknown reason on the highway. The collision was reported at 5:24 p.m. in the 27000 block of Highway 74.

Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department responded and found the woman lying in the roadway as a result of the incident. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Meanwhile, officers initially believed that Rivera was ejected from a vehicle which rolled over on the highway. They later claimed that it was a pedestrian versus car crash.
The name of the deceased has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin. The cause of the collision remains under investigation.
