One Killed in Multiple-Vehicle Collision on 91 Freeway in Carson
CARSON, Calif. (April 3, 2019) – Maria Rodriguez Salinas, 57, of Los Angeles, was killed and another person was injured Tuesday afternoon following a multiple-vehicle collision on the Gardena (91) Freeway in Carson.
The crash was reported to the California Highway Patrol about 3:10 p.m. The vehicles collided on the westbound side of the freeway at Avalon Boulevard, the CHP said. Paramedics responded and pronounced the woman dead at the scene. She was a passenger in one of the vehicles.
The transported the second person who was injured to a hospital, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
During the collision, one of the vehicles overturned and the vehicles were blocking traffic lanes.
