Woman, 62, Girl, 3, Killed in Crash at Hanford Intersection
HANFORD, Calif. (Oct. 23, 2023) – Maria Suarez, 62, and her 3-year-old granddaughter died in a pedestrian accident Friday night in Hanford at Phillips Street and 3rd Street.
A total of three people were struck by the vehicle at around 7 p.m. on Oct. 21st, according to the Hanford Police Department.
The woman and youngest child both died at the hospital and were later identified by the Kings County Coroner’s office as Maria Suarez and Jayleen Suarez. Also, a nine-year-old child was taken to a hospital in unknown condition.
Meanwhile, the driver involved stopped and cooperated with the investigation.
Investigators are working to determine fault for the case.
