Vargas-Gomez Hit and Killed by Car
Riverside County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as Maria Vargas-Gomez, of Hemet.
As per the article, Vargas-Gomez was walking across South Cawston Avenue when she was hit by a 1999 Toyota pickup truck at about 8 p.m.
The 63-year-old died at the scene.
Meanwhile the 32-year-old Hemet man driving the Toyota at the time, stopped and cooperated with the authorities.
Alcohol did not appear to have played a role in the incident which remains under investigation.
