Infant, 10 Others Injured in Collision Near Humphrey Road
Yuba City, CA (September 23, 2022) – Police arrested 31-year-old Mariah Lindsey Lopez following a suspected DUI crash that occurred on Highway 20, the Kuba News reported.
On Wednesday, a 2008 Honda Pilot and a 2018 Jeep Compass collided on SR-20 near Humphrey Road. Preliminary investigation revealed Lopez was behind the wheel of the Honda heading north on Humphrey Road. When the woman approached the crossing at Highway 20, Lopez apparently failed to yield the right of way of a passing westbound Jeep. For this reason, the two vehicles with multiple occupants crashed into each other.
Emergency crews arrived at the scene shortly after 8:30 p.m. Responding paramedics rendered aid to an infant passenger in the Jeep, and several other victims. Our sources later confirmed the wreck resulted in injuries to as many as 11 people, including Lopez.
