Mariana Revolorio Injured After Police Chase Ends in Car Crash on Highway 60
DATE OF COLLISION: Sunday, January 20th
January 22, 2019 – 37-year-old Mariana Revolorio was injured after a police-chased vehicle struck her car on Highway 60, according to NBC News.
The accident happened on January 20, Sunday, around 10:35 p.m.
Primary reports indicated an unidentified 28-year-old man from Moreno Valley was being pursued by officers at speeds exceeding 80 mph on westbound SR-60. The suspect vehicle was described as a tan 1998 Toyota Corolla.
When the chase approached Jack Rabbit Trail, the Toyota apparently veered into the eastbound lanes. As per the article, the suspect continued to drive wrong-way for about three miles until it crashed head-on into a blue 2018 Kia Nitro driven by Revolorio.
Pursued Driver Killed in Beaumont Car Accident on Highway 60
Medical teams rushed both Revolorio and the Toyota driver to Riverside University Health Systems Medical Hospital. Shortly after the incident, the driver of the pursued vehicle succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at 12:09 a.m. Meanwhile, the extent of injuries sustained by Revolorio and her condition at this time have not been disclosed thus far.
The detectives handling the case continue to work to determine liability in the collision.
