5 Injured After DUI Crash Near Robin Williams Tunnel
MARIN COUNTY (May 28, 2018) – Several teenagers were injured after their vehicle overturned on southbound Highway 101 Saturday evening, according to CBS News.
As per the article, an SUV rolled over on the highway near the Robin Williams Tunnel around 8:45 p.m.
Witnesses reportedly saw a large group of teenagers crawl out of the vehicle following the crash. Primary reports indicated the SUV was occupied by more than its capacity at the time of the incident.
When paramedics arrived at the location, they immediately rendered aid to at least five people at the scene. The age of the victims range from 16 to 20-year-old, officials said. All injured parties were treated and released at the scene.
Meanwhile, the California Highway Patrol mentioned the driver of the SUV evaded the site on foot. Authorities tracked the man as he fled west into a wooded area near the freeway.
Angel Negronclay Arrested After Marin County Rollover Crash
The hit-and-run motorist, identified as 18-year-old Angel Negronclay, was found hiding in the area. Negronclay was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs, felony hit and run causing injury and driving without a license.
Further investigation on the case is ongoing.
