Passenger Dies at Hospital After Collision on Highway 1 Friday
Marina, CA (September 17, 2021) – One person died following a suspected DUI car crash that occurred on Highway 1 Friday afternoon.
According to KION546 News, a solo-vehicle rolled over on the highway near 8th Street in Marina. The article published online mentioned a female passenger was ejected due to the force from the impact.
Emergency crews arrived at the accident scene shortly after 11 a.m. An ambulance reportedly rushed the ejected passenger to the hospital, where she sadly succumbed to her injuries and died. The identity of the deceased remained undisclosed pending confirmation and notification of next of kin.

Meanwhile, officers said the driver showed signs of intoxication. Given that, police arrested the man for felony DUI charges.
