Deadly Rollover Crash at El Mirage Dry Lake
ADELANTO, Calif. (May 25, 2022) — Mario Cancino Rojas, 31, of Orange, died in a collision Saturday night at El Mirage Dry Lake in Adelanto.
The deadly crash occurred about 6:10 p.m. on May 21st, according to California Highway Patrol officers.
CHP officers responded to the El Mirage Dry Lake in Adelanto to investigate a vehicle collision, according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff Coroner.
The victim was traveling as a passenger in a black Dodge Challenger that reportedly overturned multiple times in a collision with a white pickup truck, according to the CHP dispatch report.
Later, the passenger was identified as Mario Cancino Rojas. The young man died at the scene at 6:39 pm. Also, paramedics transported a second person with major injuries from the crash to a hospital, the report said.
Finally, there is an investigation into the collision by the California Highway Patrol Barstow Station.
