Mario Chi Casanova Dies in Solo-Vehicle Collision on Hillcrest Drive Wednesday
Newbury Park, CA (September 2, 2021) – On September 1, Wednesday, 19-year-old Mario Chi Casanova suffered fatal injuries following a car crash on Hillcrest Drive.
The Ventura County Star News reported Mario Chi Casanova was a passenger in a vehicle traveling west on Hillcrest Drive. For an unknown reason, the vehicle rolled over in the area near Ventura Park Road.
Shortly after 10:10 p.m., emergency teams arrived at the accident scene. First responders found the sedan upside down on the westbound side of Hillcrest Drive.
Our sources indicated the force from the impact ejected the driver, and all four passengers. Responding paramedics rendered aid to all injured parties.
According to the article published online, one passenger sadly died sa a result of the wreck. The authorities confirmed the identity of the deceased as Mario Chi Casanova.
Officials added the driver, and three other passenger all sustained major injuries as a result of the incident. Paramedics transported the driver and two passengers were taken by ambulance to Los Robles Regional Medical Center in Thousand Oaks. Meanwhile, the third injured passenger was taken to Ventura County Medical Center for treatment.
Detectives stayed at the scene the whole evening to investigate the precise cause of the fatal car crash in Newbury Park.
