Driver, Passenger Hospitalized After Collision at Orange and Elm Avenue
Modesto, CA (March 8, 2023) – Mario Estrada, and his passenger both suffered injuries following a deadly car accident that occurred in the area of Orange and Elm Avenue.
According to Modesto Bee News, Estrada was behind the wheel of a Ram pickup heading east on Orange. Earlier reports indicated the driver failed to yield the right of way to another vehicle and entered the intersection at Elm. Subsequently, the Ram drove into the path and collided with a Dodge SUV.
The force from the impact caused both vehicles to veered off the roadway. Officials said the horrible crash took place Monday, March 6.
Patterson Family Killed in Modesto Car Accident
When emergency crews arrived at the scene, they found three occupants in the Dodge all unconscious. Responding paramedics performed life-saving measures to the victims but they sadly succumbed to their injuries and passed away. Authorities confirmed the fatal victims were a couple and their son, all of Patterson.
Meanwhile, Estrada and his passenger both escaped death with only minor injuries. Medical personnel transported the two injured parties to a hospital for further treatment and evaluation.
Officers believed Estrada likely ran the stop sign and triggered the catastrophic incident. The California Highway Patrol group added that they continue to investigate to determine the precise cause of the fatal crash.
