Mario Melbourne Hit by Car and Killed
COMPTON (July 25, 2017)- According to the Press Telegram, a man identified as Mario Melbourne Jr., 30, has been identified as the victim fatally struck following a deadly hit-and-run Monday evening.
Per several witnesses, Melbourne worked as a security guard and was on the clock when a fist fight broke out between Melbourne and an acquaintance.
The suspect who remains unidentified entered his car began to drive away before making a U-turn and hitting Melbourne.
The 30-year-old man sadly sustained fatal injuries and was declared deceased at the scene.
Meanwhile, the suspect who has yet to be found and detained sped away after hitting Melbourne Jr.
The vehicle has been described as a gray sedan. Anyone who has information on the whereabouts of the suspect or may have details is encouraged to contact the Los Angeles Homicide Bureau at 323-890-5500.
