Man Killed in Pedestrian Accident at Pigeon Pass Road
MORENO VALLEY, CA — Mario Zavala, 42, of Moreno Valley, was found dead Monday following a pedestrian accident on Pigeon Pass Road.
The man’s body was found on the southbound shoulder of the roadway about 12:40 a.m. on May 9th, just south of Hemlock Avenue, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.
The collision happened near the Moreno Valley (60) Freeway, police said.
Police deputies responded to a 911 call and discovered Mario Zavala already dead. However, they noted his “traumatic injuries (were) consistent with a traffic collision” for a pedestrian.
Authorities do not immediately know the circumstances surrounding the death. It appears to be a hit-and-run collision, but there are no further details about the case.
