Motorcyclist Ran Over by Vehicle Near 80 Freeway Connector
Sacramento, CA (June 5, 2023) – Mark Anthony Rodriguez, a 43-year-old man, died following a traffic accident that occurred on the Interstate 5 Freeway.
The CBS News reported Rodriguez was riding a Harley Davidson traveling on I-5 Saturday evening, June 3. In the area near the connector ramp onto Interstate 80 Freeway, the motorcyclist veered left and hit the center median.
According to the article published online, the rider struck a pole. The force from the impact ejected the rider onto the traffic lanes. Our sources indicated an oncoming GMC ran over the victim lying on the ground.
Deadly Motorcycle Accident in Sacramento
Medical personnel later arrived at the scene, and sadly pronounced the motorcyclist dead. Authorities identified the deceased as Mark Anthony Rodriguez.
Meanwhile, the driver of the GMC stayed at the site and cooperated with the investigation process.
Detectives handling the case continue to work to determine liability in the deadly accident that happened on Interstate 5 in Sacramento.
