Man Dies in U-Haul Truck Collision on Highway 32
NORTHERN CALIFORNIA, Calif. (Dec. 12, 2024) – Mark Sales, 30, died when a van crashed into a tree off Highway 32 Sunday in Northern California.
The solo-vehicle collision occurred at around 1:53 p.m., on Dec. 12th, according to a California Highway Patrol.
The white and orange GMC Savana box van was traveling westbound on Highway 32 when it crashed into a tree near milepost marker 32 TEH 8.70, the CHP reported.
Before the crash, the van was traveling on a straight portion of the road when for unknown reasons the vehicle went off the right side of the road and down an embankment.
Mark Sales was riding in the front right passenger seat and suffered major injuries.
Authorities say he was not wearing a seatbelt and died at the scene.
Meanwhile, the driver had moderate injuries and was transported to a hospital.
