Skateboarder Struck at Highland Avenue, Conejo Avenue
SELMA, Calif. (July 31, 2023) – Martin Garcia Mendoza, 22, was struck by a car while riding a skateboard in Selma at Highland Avenue and Conejo Avenue.
The skateboard accident occurred around 7:30 p.m. on Friday, July 28th in Fresno County,, according to Your Central Valley news.
The Fresno County Sheriff’s Office identified the young man.
A California Highway Patrol officer was near the scene and responded immediately after the collision. The police officer witnessed the driver in a white Dodge sedan struck the man riding at skateboard at the intersection.
The police officer attempted life-saving measures on the young person, but he died soon after the collision.
There were no other injuries and the motorist involved stopped and cooperated with authorities.
