Marvin Lane Beamon III, 36, Killed in Barstow Hit-and-Run on Lenwood Road

BARSTOW, CA (APRIL 22, 2021) – Marvin Beamon III was killed after a hit-and-run crash along Lenwood Road in Barstow.

Thw San Bernardino County Coroner’s Office identified the 36-year-old Reno, Nevada man as the victim of the fatal accident on Wednesday.

The incident happened on April 21 when Marvin Lane Beamon III was walking in the northbound lane of Lenwood Road in Barstow.

CHP said for an unknown reason, a vehicle going in the same direction then struck him. According to the article published by the Victor Valley News, officers reported the collision at about 7:13 a.m.

Driver Hits Pedestrian, Flees Scene

Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived and soon found the pedestrian down on the right shoulder of Lenwood Road, north of Camino Del Sol.

Medical personnel soon pronounced Marvin Beamon III dead at the scene. Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that the driver did not stop to render aid and fled northbound on Lenwood.

Officials described the vehicle involved with damage on the right front side from the impact. Authorities are still searching for the hit-and-run suspect.
