Marvin Walker, 48, Killed in Riverside Crash on 91 Freeway
RIVERSIDE, CA (July 7, 2022) – Marvin Walker was killed after a motorcycle and Tesla crash on the 91 Freeway in Riverside.
The coroner’s office identified the 48-year-old Lake Elsinore man as the victim of the fatal wreck which took place on Thursday.
The incident happened when Marvin Walker was riding a Yamaha V-Star motorcycle in the HOV lane of the eastbound 91 Freeway in Riverside.
At the same time, a Tesla Model Y approached from behind. The California Highway Patrol said for an unknown reason, the two collided west of Pierce Street.
Motorcycle and Tesla Collide
The Press Enterprise and My News LA wrote that the accident occurred at about 4:47 a.m. near Magnolia Avenue.
The rider ended up ejected from his motorcycle as a result of the collision. Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived and found him suffering from major blunt force injuries.
Marvin Walker soon died at the scene of the crash. Meanwhile, CHP added that the driver of the Tesla ended up unharmed following the wreck.
Officers forced the the eastbound lanes from Pierce to Magnolia Avenue to shut down for several hours after the incident. The cause of the Riverside crash is still under investigation.
