OAKDALE (August 3, 2016)- According to the Modesto Bee, 75-year-old Mary Felix was fatally struck by a vehicle Wednesday morning on F Street.
At around 5:45 a.m., Felix was crossing F Street before being struck by the driver of a Toyota 4 Runner.
The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene by paramedics as it was confirmed that she was a resident at an apartment complex adjacent to where the collision occurred.
Further, the 24-year-old driver of the 4Runner remained at the scene and was cooperating with authorities as he was not under the influence of any substance after agreeing to both drugs and alcohol testing.
Police officials are unsure whether or not the woman was inside a marked crosswalk as the investigation remains ongoing.
We offer our warmest of thoughts, our prayers, and condolences to the family members of the victim as they search for peace and comfort.
