Delivery Truck Hits Mary Francel on Sidewalk in Fatal Crash
SAN DIEGO, California (Sept. 14, 2017) — Mary Francel, 86, of San diego was walking on the sidewalk using a walker when she was struck by a delivery truck and killed Thursday morning.
The crash took place in the 5900 block of Balboa Avenue, according to the San Diego Police Department.
The fatal crash was reported about 10:11 a.m. this morning in the Clairemont Mesa East neighborhood.
Francel was on the sidewalk when she was struck by the package delivery truck driver as he reportedly turned right onto Balboa Avenue. She died of her injuries at the scene.
